I enjoy watching the news as often as I can, I like knowing whats going on. But I hate hearing the people who ONLY report from the left. Wait, let me re-word that. I hate networks who report ONLY from the left and CAN'T ADMIT IT!
Jon Stewart (Comedien, The Daily Show), recently had an interview on the FOX News Channel (FNC). Here is the interview if you would like to watch:

Now I found it very interesting, while I believe that Chris Wallace isn't the best debater on behalf of FNC, I feel Jon did an excellent job making an ass out of himself.
On March 9th, 2011, Stewart made this statement: "...[Fox New is] a biased organization relentlessly promoting an ideological agenda under the rubric of being a news organization."
Then on March 31st, 2011 he stated: "...[Fox News is] a relentless agenda-driven 24 hours news opinion propaganda delivery system."
While I do believe that FNC has a bias, I want to provide you with the point that everyone has some sort of bias, and FNC ADMITS to be a more conservative organization! While they do offer their opinion, they provide the viewers with a VERY sound and accurate report of the news (fair and balanced) as well as the FULL STORY.
Now I will say this, I enjoy watching Jon for his comedic value, so I will admit that some people need to lighten up a bit. Most news is negative now-days and its nice to be able to laugh at some of it. Do I agree with what he says? Most of the time I don't, but I do have to say that he is funny and he is an entertainer. But you are wrong about FNC Jon. Stay to what your good at and don't get involved in politics in a serious manner. Stick strictly with the comedy.
Now I believe that they are fair and balanced because of the fact that they have several liberals come in and talk on there network and provide their opinion. For example there is: Juan Williams, Bob Beckle, Alan Colmes, and many many others! They also provide the "counter-weight" to MSNBC, CNN, and other multitudes of liberal media. FNC needs to report from the right side of the spectrum, no one else does. Therefore keeping things "Fair and Balanced."
Now as a short reminder here are the ratings for News organizations.

In every single report, Fox News Channel was the most viewed. I'll let the numbers do the talking.
Fox News doesn't just tell the "other side of the story," they provide the ENTIRE STORY. Both sides of the story. Right and Left. Now does that mean that they express them equally? Hell no. But they admit that. So CNN, MSNBC, other various "left wing" news organizations, learn something from Fox, and don't pretend to be something that you are not. Fox News is truly "Fair and Balanced," and that is why it is my news network.
This is the best blog post you've written so far, that I have read. It drives me crazy when people claim that Fox News isn't a legitimate news source. The problem people have with Fox News is that it has a very clear slant to it. ALL media is biased no matter what form it takes. I am pleased to say Fox News at least makes its biases clear. Fox News - Fair and Balanced! ROCK ON! :D
ReplyDeleteFox new is delusional. Yes every news source is somewhat biased, but Fox news is just disgusting. Most of their news reports are so misinformed its ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteDelusional? Disgusting?
ReplyDeleteI find that there news reports are very spot on. It seems to me left wing media lies quite often to make the right look bad, but ultimately they just look stupid. Such as:

And many many more.
This is a good one too, explains the last video

you can find just as many going the other way. I don't think either of them are good news sources
ReplyDeleteWell then more power to you, to be honest I can't blame you for not liking any of them. My personal preference is Fox. This is more directed to those who like Fox, and those who hate only Fox (for a dumb reason, such as bandwagon-ing). When someone says they hate Fox because other people hate Fox. I just find it more credible. Although I did watch it for a little bit a dinner time today and found that one of the anchors (can't remember who) was interviewing Ben Stein and was completely rude. So I mean, just because they are my favorite, doesn't mean I think they are "flawless."
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the comment, much appreciated :)
